A Japanese-made hook ideal for making assist hooks for deep-sea and pelagic jigging. The wide gape and carefully turned-in point reduce snags while helping the hook catch securely and hold fish firmly.
Recommended for rosy seabass and cod in deep water, rough-bottom areas, and species prone to throwing hooks such as cutlassfish and chum salmon. It is also suitable for pelagic jigging.
The slightly upturned ringed eye allows assist line to be tied directly without serving thread or heat-shrink tubing. Wave Line processing and forging increase strength, while the round bend reduces mouth tearing.
