This is a Hage-style hook designed specifically for filefish, featuring a wide gap and an inward-turned point.
Designed so that even when the fish only nibbles at the bait, the point quickly hooks once inside the mouth, making it especially effective when fishing mid-water or when fish are highly active.
In addition, the hook is easy to bait and unhook, allowing for quick re-casting, and its moderately thick shank and forged finish provide excellent strength.
