Designed for automatic hooksets (Mukou-awase), this wide-gape Tai Rubber hook features a short, heavy-gauge shank for secure penetration into the lip of the Red Seabream (Tai).
This compact hook is highly resistant to breakage, even when chewed by powerful teeth. Its design allows it to bypass the teeth for clean penetration into the soft lip. Furthermore, the wide gape ensures a rock-solid hold that minimizes throw-offs, while the high strength resists straightening out even under the strongest pull of a large fish.
With this self-setting (Mukou-awase) hook, avoid immediate striking. Instead, wait for the weight, then simply lift the rod to secure the hook in the lip. This easy technique makes it ideal for beginners.
