Crafted with time-honored Japanese manufacturing and special finishing throughout, the SENKU hook—enhanced with fluorine coating—delivers penetration among the very best in Japan.

By slightly relaxing the point bend angle, initial setting is improved; once the point lands on a seabream’s lip, it continues to bury securely, “stitching” deeper. The geometry blends “nosing” and “quick set,” making it easy to hook while transmitting load efficiently.

Balancing sharpness and strength, the hook uses 0.86 mm wire—neither too thick nor too thin—with selective forging along the shank to prevent lip tears and keep a firm hold.

The assist line uses Brizm Brigage (#6 / 40 lb) PE with a 3-ply ester core. The core helps the hooks resist drooping during angled retrieves, stay in step with the tie, and avoid tangles. Even if a set bends or kinks, a firm pull straightens it back out.
