Japanese Tai Rubber & Terminal Tackle for Australian Snapper Markets
The fishing system known in Japan as Tai Rubber is more readily understood in Australia through terms such as Kabura Jig, Slider Jig and Snapper Jig. Rock Link inc. is seeking Australian trade partners to evaluate two complementary ranges: IPPON Japanese fishing hooks and terminal tackle, and Brizm replacement components developed through field testing in Akashi, Japan.
IPPON / Hooks & Terminal Tackle for Australia
Japanese hooks and terminal tackle for trade buyers.
Made in Hyogo, Japan. IPPON covers fishing hooks, Snapper assist hooks, split rings, solid rings, ball bearing swivels and snaps for distributors, specialist retailers, charter operators and private-label fishing tackle programmes.
Published product specifications let buyers compare wire diameter, intended application, test strength and pack quantity model by model. This supports practical range selection without relying on broad performance claims before products have been evaluated in Australian waters.
Snapper assist hooks
Current product data for the IPPON Lip Sting Tairaba Hook lists SS, S and M sizes, published wire diameters of 0.86, 0.92 and 0.99 mm, and 30 hooks per pack. Its short, heavy-wire, wide-gape pattern is presented for Tai Rubber and assist-hook applications.
Split rings
The Strong Round-Wire Split Ring range covers sizes #3 to #6, published test strengths of 43 to 133 lb, wire diameters of 0.85 to 1.50 mm and 15 to 30 rings per pack, depending on size.
Ball bearing swivels
The IPPON Ball Bearing Swivel range covers sizes #0 to #7, with published test strengths of 60 to 445 lb and four to seven swivels per pack, depending on size.
Brizm / Kabura & Slider Components
A component system developed on the water in Akashi.
Brizm is a Tai Rubber brand refined through repeated field testing in the Akashi Strait, one of Japan's most challenging Tai Rubber fields. Heavy fishing pressure and fast, complex currents make it a demanding place to work on response, balance and ease of rigging.
For Australian Kabura Jig and Slider Jig ranges, the Brizm system can be presented through replacement neckties, often listed locally as replacement Kabura skirts, together with assist hooks, assist line and silicone sheets. Tungsten Kabura head requirements can also form part of an Australian sample brief, with current catalogue availability and suitable weights confirmed during the enquiry.
Replacement system
Neckties, loose and pre-tied hooks, assist line and DIY silicone sheet allow retailers and charter operators to replace worn parts or organise purpose-specific rigs.
Local terminology
Tai Rubber remains the Japanese reference term, while Kabura Jig, Slider Jig, Snapper Jig and replacement Kabura skirts provide a clearer entry point for Australian buyers.
